What is the recovery time for liposuction?

After liposuction, patients may have swelling, bruising, and tenderness in the treated area. These side effects will diminish with time. Any post-operative pain is addressed with oral prescription medication. Your GraceMed surgeon will provide you with comprehensive aftercare instructions.

Is liposuction permanent?

Liposuction removes the fat cells. Should you gain weight, most fat will be deposited in areas where the procedure was not performed.

Am I awake or asleep for the procedure?

Smartlipo or SlimLipo can be performed using general or local anesthesia, depending on your preferences. Some of our patients are leery of general anesthesia, while others prefer to be completely asleep during treatment.
